Nickariah News

Seems Nick has bought Mariah an early Christmas present. Instead of 'all i want for christmas is you'...Mariah will get more than a happy hubby for the holidays. She will receive a 1.5 million ski lodge with 5-bedrooms in a secluded area in Aspen from her most dutiful husband.

Sources close to Nickariah say that "Nick is clearly still in the honeymoon phase. He’s shocked all their pals by going out of his way to buy Mariah this beautiful sanctuary. He knows Aspen is one of her favorite places in the world so this is his early Christmas present to her."
Points go out to Nick on this one. Nothing says I love you like a large purchase for your wife, from your wife's bank account - ahem. Again, good job there guy

Kim Kardshian, Ambassador?

Since when have reality TV show stars become internationally noteworthy?

I clearly must have missed that memo but its seems that Kim Kardashian may well become the next UN Ambassador for the country of South Africa.
Kim was asked at the Empowerment of Africa dinner if she would be interested in becoming an ambassador because the "UN is looking for more influential 'pop culture' celebs to inspire younger generations to become more involved in international affairs."

She plans to team up with Russell Simmon’s Diamond Empowerment Fund for the effort.

I'm not so sure how I feel about this one but -- they do have a point about pop culture celebs promoting change. Look at how the election turned out and how many new voters were registered just from the celeb buzz around it.

Not sure if Kim K. would be the most "honorable" choice here but I'm not mad at the motivation behind this.

What's your take? Think Kim. K would be a good ambassador choice?

JD on Janet and the Prego Rumors

Jermaine Dupri was stopped on the red carpet at the opening of SLS Hotel in LA to talk about his woman Janet Jackson and the known rumors about her being pregnant as the reason why she canceled her tour.

When asked if she was prego, JD said "No, Ya'll stop saying that, when she gets pregnant everyone will know.”

I'm not sure if that means shes loading up on the prenatal vitamins or somewhere peeing on a stick but seems JD says shes not pregnant but we'll just have to wait until that bumps shows up apparently. Somethings sour in the milk with those two if you ask me.

Janet recently told Sister 2 Sister mag that she was waiting for the right time to be a mom. She said, "At some point it's coming. When? I have no idea. He has been past ready. He's just waiting for me; I'm the one holding up the whole thing. Everyone tells me that there will never be a good time, that I will always be busy, but I just think when the stars are aligned it will happen"

I'm just saying..last night I saw 3 stars in a perfect line in the sky... looks like the stars may be lining up for you quicker than you think Damita Jo...

Beyonce, recently named by Forbes with her husband Jay Z as the richest couple, has been named THE richest star under 30. Seems, shes not only rich -- she's filthy, stinkin', dont-make-no-sense rich!

Bey at just 27 years old has a reported 80 million in her bank account and with all her endorsement deals, successful records and thriving marriage, this surely wont be the ceiling of her worth.

Tyrese is officially Fast and Furious

Sexy as he wants to be Tyrese has confirmed that he will be among the cast to grace the silver screen in the upcoming "Fast and Furious 4" movie -- of which the word 'the' has been removed from its original title. I guess that's supposed to make it a different movie. But whatever..

Anyways, Tyrese also confirmed that the entire cast, which includes Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Paul Walker and Michelle Rodriguez, will be back together on screen for the new flick, which is set to be released on June 12, 2009.

Official tracklist for Keyshia's newest album 'A Different Me' has been released. Look like she'll have several features on the disc - including Tupac, Monica, Amina Harris (featured on the track 'Shoulda let you go' from her last album) and Nas.

Key speaks out to Billboard Mag about the album saying,
"The first two albums were more ... painful. It's a different me this time: a young woman who's still growing and finding myself, exploring life through different routes musically and in other areas,"

"I wrote more about other people's situations than my own. I'm moving forward." Meanhwile, on her songwriting credit, Keyshia said, "When I hear something, I hear it - it doesn't take me three, four, five times to hear a song and say, 'OK, let's write.'" She then added, "If I don't write to it right off the bat, it's not working."

OJ Sentenced!

OJ Simpson was sentenced this afternoon to at least 15 in years in a federal prison facility. He speaks in court prior to his sentencing at the Clark County Regional Justice Center Friday, December 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada -- which I guess was supposed to move someone. Nobody trying to hear that ra-ra crap OJ, seriously!

The judge said several times that her ruling had nothing to with his aquittal on the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Athough... I presonally dont think thats necessarily true -- but hey, what do I know.

OJ had this one coming for years now. You dont get away with one crime and think it'll happen twice just because you play nice and say your sorry. Whomp Whomp OJ!

OJ however told the judge.... "It was so much more than stupidity" You aint NEVER lied OJ!!

Initially, I was like "Oh no... not another black and white wanna be motion picture video". But, as soon as Bran wet that weave up and the color came in Wizard of Oz style - I was hooked. She looks fabulous in this video. Personally, I'm feenin for the Brandy of old so I'm looking forward to the album release.

Newly Leaked: Keyshia Cole 'You complete me'

A newly leaked track 'You Complete Me' has surfaced from Keyshia Cole's 3rd studio effort, ' A Different Me', due to be released Decemeber 16.

Now, I love me some K.C but the drum laden track is not Key's best, not nearly by far, but does it a little more for me than the Tupac duet 'Playa Cardz Right' (which although attractive rhythmically, is a poor choice for a lead single and I'm still trying to figure out why it was chosen as such). The lead in on this track is unnecessary frankly and it takes about a minute in to really get into it. These two tracks along with the drama that is her reality show 'This is Me' will definitely peak interest in the project nonetheless. Or interest could be peaked from Neffe dancing around in Trindad with no panties. But.. I digress

I am however feeling the new content of her songs. She seems to have put away the 'you done me wrong and i hate you for life' male diss tracks and is crooning about love and life now.

I'm diggin it.

Check the album when it drops on Decemeber 16th. Meanwhile what you think of the track.

Tasty Video: Nelly

Nelly delivers the video for single 'One and Only' from his nearly non-existant LP 'Brass Knuckles'. Although no one is really caring what Nelly is up to (well - maybe no one except Ashanti) he is still cranking out the videos like he's a chart topper or something.

Both song and video are mediocre at best IMO. We all know what Nelly is capable of and with that in mind it would jsut be a better situation for all of us for him to just go in the studio and try again. I think he can make a comeback but definitely not with anything from this album.

That boy still sexy though...

Beyonce was among one of the performers at the Christmas in Rockefeller Center show last night. She performed the balled 'Ave Maria' from her latest LP 'I Am...Sasha Fierce'. Performed flawlessly and dressed fabulously, B did her thing here.

In addition Bey news, her single 'Single Ladies' hit #1 on Billboard's Top 100 chart last night. This makes it her 5th #1 solo album... more than any Destiny's Child album.

I have to give it to her, shes doing her thing and doing it fabulously.

BRANDY will drop a new album entitled 'Human' on November 11th. Reuinted with producer Rodney "DarkChild" Jerkins, Brandy says ..

TYRA BRINGS ON A TRANNY....

Seems Ms. Tyra and the folks over at ANTM has included its first transgender contestant to the popular reality TV show. And just when you thought things were getting a little monotonous, they throw a monkey wrench in the mix.

The contestant, recently sat down with US Weekly in a brief interview.

"One of the 14 girls who will compete on the new season of America’s Next Top Model – which returns to The CW on September 3 – is transgender. “My cards were dealt differently,” Isis, a 22-year-old former receptionist, tells Us Weekly exclusively in its new issue, on newsstands now. Hailing from Prince George’s County, Maryland, Isis identifies herself as “a woman born physically male.”Will she be a role model? “I like to help people, but I’m here to follow my dreams,” she tells Us.The inclusion of Isis is being hailed by GLAAD president Neil Giuliano as “an unprecedented opportunity for a community that is underrepresented on television. “We applaud Tyra Banks and The CW for making this historic visibility of transgender people possible,” Giuliano said.

OK so hey, what ever float your boat. But she is from my hometown... and I guess that gets her half a snap. Should make for quite the drama that's for sure
